PhD student position in Future energy carriers

The position on offer will join a team of senior researchers, postdocs and PhD students dedicated to research aimed identifying and evaluating pathways towards sustainable European energy systems. This position is directed towards the future role of energy carriers with focus on electricity and heat and its future use in industrial processes, including their relation to the production and use of materials such as cement, steel and production of fuels for transportation and industry. The work will be carried out accounting for the possibilities and challenges imposed by future renewable electricity systems governed by variable electricity generation (e.g. wind and solar power).
