PhD student position in Autonomous vehicles and the transition to a CO2 neutral transport system
Autonomous vehicles have the potential to radically transform the transport system. On the one hand, they may significantly change the demand for transport services since the costs of moving people and goods may be significantly affected.
The aim of this PhD position is to analyze how:
- a large scale introduction of autonomous vehicles will affect the energy demand within the Swedish transport system,
- the transport sector interacts with the supply of low-CO2 energy carries such as electricity, biofuels and hydrogen, and
- policy instruments can be designed to steer the transport system towards high energy efficiency at the system level.
