Mistra Carbon Exit’s programme directors will present during Almedalen week. Social Venture Network is arranging the event headlined New conditions for the green transition after 2030.

Lars Zetterberg, programme director for Mistra Carbon Exit, and Filip Johnsson, vice programme director, will discuss the EU’s climate policy and the possibility for Swedish industry to become a pioneer in the transition.

The starting point is the EU's new Fit-for-55 climate package, which strengthens emissions trading and introduces a new emissions trading scheme. Some argue that with such an ambitious climate policy, Sweden does not need its own climate targets.

Zetterberg and Johnsson have a different opinion. The success of EU policy depends on the actions of the member states. Therefore, it is vital that Sweden continues to pursue an ambitious climate policy and supports companies that want to lead the way.
