Mistra Carbon Exit invites you to a webinar on shared mobility. The researcher Johannes Morfeldt and Daniel Johansson, Chalmers University of Technology, present a recent study exploring the impacts of shared mobility on vehicle lifetimes and the carbon footprint of electric vehicles.
Introducing shared cars could reduce the carbon footprint of the vehicle fleet. However, the carbon footprint depends on the cumulative driving distance, which depends on driving intensity and calendar ageing. Therefore vehicle durability will be essential to enhance the carbon footprint benefits of vehicle sharing.
