Speaker: Karsten Neuhoff, Head of the Department of Climate Policy, DIW Berlin

Professor Karsten Neuhoff will join us and present some of the highlight from his and his colleagues recent report “Building Blocks for a Climate-Neutral European Industrial Sector”.

Karsten Neuhoff is Head of the Department of Climate Policy at DIW Berlin (German Institute for Economic Research) and Professor of energy and climate policy at Technical University of Berlin. His research focus on the economics and financing of a low-carbon transformation in the power, industry and building sector. He also belongs to the researchers who have thought the longest and hardest on how to set up a climate policy framework that could induce a transformation in the CO2-and-energy-intensive industry (e.g. steel and cement). Karsten and his research group is also part of WP4 in Mistra Carbon Exit.
